My beloved Brethren,

 

We greet you in the name of our blessed Saviour "Jesus Christ the same yesterday, and today, and for ever." Hebrews 13:8. We thank our Lord for His blessings to us, and we pray you are also enjoying His mercy and grace.

 

I appreciate your prayers for us, my mother was diagnosed a month ago with advanced Ovarian Cancer that has spread. She was operated on to remove the worst of the tumors and she is recovering from the surgery in a Nursing Home. Her prognosis is unclear at this time, but she is not doing very well. They are able to keep her comfortable with morphine. I have had to make all the arrangements for her from 2,000 miles away; which has been very trying at times.

 

My greatest concern for her is for her soul. My mother is not saved and though we have witnessed to her many times, she has no concern for her soul. Her only concern is that she does not have any pain. This I can of course understand, but morphine will not bring relief if she dies without Christ. Please pray for her and for us, that we will know how to properly deal with her.

 

I am still running from the VA doctors, who want to do surgery on me. But I have an appointment for the end of this month. I am praying to know the Lord's will.

 

Jennifer is about the same and we thank our Lord for His blessings. She is able to walk well and only needs a cane, some of the time. She continues to go to various doctors and some are more helpful than others. We appreciate your prayers for her.
